There are two new food recalls because of a possible salmonella contamination. SunFed Produce recalled thousands of fresh cucumbers and Handsome Brook Farms recalled Kirkland brand eggs sold at 25 Costco locations.
Cucumbers sold by SunFed Produce at national retailers including Costco, Walmart and more are being recalled due to a potential link to an ongoing salmonella outbreak. Salmonella is a bacteria that can be deadly when consumed by certain populations. The cucumbers were sold in 26 states and five Canadian provinces. So far, the outbreak has left 68 people ill and 18 hospitalized. The U.S.

The FDA urges people who purchased the cucumbers to throw them out immediately, adding, “We also encourage them to clean and sanitize surfaces that could have come into contact with the recalled product to reduce cross-contamination.
