U.S. cyber-security firm CrowdStrike's shares fell after a serious IT outage sparked by an issue at the company disrupted businesses around the world, forcing banks, airlines, and broadcasters to go offline.As of 10:05 a.m. ET on Friday, Crowdstrike's stock was down more than 9 percent after trading opened at the NASDAQ stock exchange in New York.The company has said that it has discovered what was behind the issue that affected Microsoft products.
'He added: 'We refer customers to the support portal for the latest updates and will continue to provide complete and continuous updates on our website...Our team is fully mobilized to ensure the security and stability of CrowdStrike customers.'Microsoft said in an update that an 'issue impacting Virtual Machines running Windows Client and Windows Server, running the CrowdStrike Falcon agent, which may encounter a bug check and get stuck in a restarting state.
