Crews battle mountain fire on York/Cumberland county line

Fire crews are working to contain a mountain fire along the Cumberland County / York County line, near the White Rock Acres development in Monroe Township on the Cumberland side, and Franklin Township in York County.

York County dispatchers said the fire was initially reported at 11:54 a.m. Monday in the area of Chainsaw Road and West Greenhouse Road in Franklin Township. The fire then quickly progressed to the top of the mountain and onto the Cumberland County side.
