The England youth international was linked with a move away from Elland Road this summer but signed a new deal at Leeds United.
Former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton believes Charlie Cresswell's time will come at Leeds United after a tough start to the season. The England youth international impressed on loan with Millwall in the Championship last season and had been tipped for a breakthrough campaign this time round.
Cresswell signed a new deal with the Whites to fend off any interest from the Premier League, with a number of clubs reportedly interested in his services last summer. However, with time on his side, Hutton believes he has what it takes to break into the side and keep his place.Hutton told Football Insider: “It’s always hard to break into the first team as a young player. But if you’ve got the right personality and a bit about you, and the other boys take to you – it always helps.
“It can be very difficult, so to hear that from the manager is quite refreshing and good for the player.”
