How Far Has DC's Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters Progressed? When Gunn took over DC Studios with Safran, he revealed his plans to connect the DCU through films, television, and gaming, and introduced Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters. During the initial announcement back in 2023, 10 projects were revealed. Since then, things have shifted as projects have been delayed and new ones announced. Of all the titles announced in the initial announcement, only Creature Commandos and Superman have been released, with Supergirl next, set for release next year, followed by the Batman villain movie, Clayface. Meanwhile, Waller is still in development, and Lanterns is scheduled for 2026. However, it was reported that The Brave and The Bold, the DCU's introduction to Batman, has been postponed for the time being. Instead, the focus has shifted towards Batman's DC Elseworlds counterpart, The Batman: Part 2 by Matt Reeves. Following the release of Superman, it was announced that two more Superman-based projects are in the works. One is called Man of Tomorrow, featuring a team-up between Lex Luthor and Superman . The project is currently being storyboarded, and filming is set to start next year. The other is a TV show spin-off starring Jimmy Olsen . A release date has not yet been announced.
