Robinson, who played Darryl on “The Office,” and who now stars as part of a rotating cast in the Broadway comedy “All Out,” has lost weight and worked on improving his health in recent years.Robinson stopped by"TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle" on Jan.

She then noted that he has been on a “health journey” and asked what he’s done. “Working out, intermittent fasting. It’s like the cheat code,” he said. “And I stopped drinking alcohol.”“We’ll see what happens,” he said, before adding he hasn’t had a drink in two and a half years.“The scale,” he said, drawing laughs. “I went to the doctor. I didn’t weigh myself a lot. And, so, you know, I figured I was at a certain weight, and I was, like, 30-something pounds over that … After the shock and depression, I said, ‘Let me get to it.’”In the years since this revelation, Robinson has stuck to his health commitment. “I lost a bunch of weight, I lost about 50 pounds,” he told Harry Connick Jr. on his talk show in 2017, “I haven’t been drinking,” he continued. “Since January, I just put down the alcohol, I was going to detox. I had heard, I don’t know how true it is, but I heard you can regenerate your liver in six months. I was like, 'let me see if I can go six months,' and I just haven’t gone back.”“ working out and I’ve been trying this vegan lifestyle too. It’s amazing,” he said. “There are so many great vegan restaurants and dishes.
