The company said it chose to change the travel guidelines to "further limit reimbursement of alcoholic beverages under the policy" and according to the memo, special approval would be required for alcohol reimbursement. The memo leak comes after Cracker Barrel garnered national attention last year for attempting to rebrand its restaurants by removing "Uncle Herschel" from the logo and renovating locations.Cracker Barrel CEO Julie Masino faced particular scrutiny at the time for her role in turning the company “woke,” according to critics. Less than a week later, the company decided to keep its "Old Timer" logo after it was reported that thein response to "ongoing feedback" from customers. The restaurant chain had tested a "modern remodel design" in four of its 660 locations across the U.S., but won't be redoing any of the others.
