With a digital presentation filmed in the textile printing factory in Helsinki, SS21 kicks off Marimekko’s 70th anniversary year by putting the spotlight on their trademark - the art of printmaking.
This first ready-to-wear collection celebrates 70 years of bold prints and vibrant colours, mixing the latest creations with archives designs. Abstract art is the red-thread throughout the collection, using geometrical and simple forms. The colour palette blends earthy, tone-to-tone shades with crisp accents of lemon yellow, sky blue, bright red and sea green.
