johorbahru Lagi tular berita palsu mengenai penularan koronavirus baharu (Covid-19) tersebar di aplikasi, WhatsApp, kononnya berlaku penularan wabak itu di pusat beli-belah Angsana Mall, Johor Bahru.

Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Johor menafikan ada arahan dikeluarkan supaya Angsana Mall dikosongkan selepas dua pekerja pusat beli-belah itu dijangkiti Covid-19.

Dalam kenyataan di Facebook, Pengarah Kesihatan Negeri Johor, Dr Aman Rabu berkata, berita tular yang tersebar di WhatsApp mengenai penularan Covid-19 di pusat beli-belah berkenaan tidak benar. Katanya, orang awam diminta tidak menyebarkan berita tidak sahih itu kerana ia akan mengakibatkan situasi panik dalam kalangan masyarakat.“Harus diingatkan penyebaran berita palsu sebegini boleh dikenakan tindakan mengikut seksyen 233 Akta Komunikasi dan Multimedia 1998.

“Ia memperuntukkan hukuman denda maksimum RM50,000 atau penjara tidak melebihi tempoh satu atau kedua-duanya dan juga boleh didenda selanjutnya RM1,000 bagi setiap hari kesalahan itu diteruskan selepas pensabitan,” katanya dalam kenyataan itu, hari ini. Berita palsu yang mendakwa dua pekerja di Angsana Mall itu dijangkiti Covid-19 dan arahan pengosongan pusat beli-belah tular di WhatsApp sejak semalam.
