COVID19 cases in Quezon City climb to 1,856

The Quezon City government said Tuesday the coronavirus disease 2019 cases in the city have climbed to 1,856.

The city government also recorded 2 new recoveries and fatalities related to COVID-19, bringing the total to 578 and 163, respectively.Barangay Batasan Hills still has the highest number of COVID-19 cases with 82, followed by Culiat with 72, and Bahay Toro with 58.The 14-day special concern lockdown is still up in barangays Bahay Toro, Culiat, Sauyo, Batasan Hills, and Tatalon since Wednesday due to the high rate of cases of the disease in the said areas.

Last Saturday, Metro Manila, Laguna, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Zambales and Angeles City shifted to a modified lockdown, where the government sought to restart an economy ravaged by the pandemic.
