The Ohio Department of Health updated its weekly COVID-19 statistics on Thursday.

That’s a week-to-week drop of fewer than 50 cases.At this same time last year, the state reported just over 5,000 cases.
At least 614,619 Ohioans have received the new 2024-2025 updated vaccine COVID-19 vaccine, an increase of 109,151 people from the prior week, the state reported. This represents 5.2% ofThere were 138 Ohioans newly hospitalized in the last week, raising the total since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 to 154,806. A total of five people were admitted into the ICU, raising the total since 2020 to 15,923.
The state health department reported an additional 33 deaths from COVID-19, raising the total to 44,354.
