Storm Bert is the second named storm of the season
Nottingham City Council has activated its "Severe Weather Emergency Protocol" ahead of the second named storm of the season hitting the UK. Storm Bert is likely to see the UK lashed with snow and rain tomorrow .
"If you see anyone rough sleeping who requires support, please call the street outreach team on 0800 066 5356. Once referred to the street outreach team, rough sleepers can be allocated to the most suitable bed space." The Met Office says: "Outbreaks of rain will spread northeastwards on Saturday, preceded by a spell of snow across parts of northern England and Scotland.
It comes as temperatures are set to hike freakishly up from around 2C at 8am on Saturday morning to around 14C by 9pm. Sunday will see highs of 15C as early as 6am after a warm a night before the temperature drops again through the day from 14C between 7am and 10am,. 13C between 11am and 4pm, 12C between 5pm and 6pm, 11C between 7pm and 9pm and 10C heading into the night.
