BACK in April, I remember reading headlines saying that the pubs would be closed until Christmas. Many of the predictions that were thrown around back then have simply not happened. The number of times I've heard that the second wave is"two weeks away" is staggering.Recorded daily cases are falling at an encouraging rate, they are consistently below 1,000 now and are usually closer to 500. This is despite everything.
