Coronation Street's Bethany Platt, portrayed by Lucy Fallon, is set to be at the heart of a significant new plotline, but it seems not all fans are thrilled.
Coronation Street 's Bethany Platt, who first appeared on the cobbles in 2015 as Sarah's daughter, has experienced plenty of drama.
However, after a four-year absence, Lucy made her return to the street earlier this year. Since her comeback, Bethany has been central to several major developments on the soap. Now, reports suggest that the Corrie writers are crafting an intense new narrative for her character. "This is a huge story for Bethany, and viewers will see her travel to a foreign clinic for cosmetic surgery," an insider revealed to Metro. "As with a lot of these unregulated procedures, it doesn't exactly go to plan."
A second added their two cents, saying: "I thought we were turning a corner lately I've really been enjoying #corrie and then I read this it sounds awful plus the overkill of Bethany really irritates me."
