If Carroll wins the award, he would be the first Rookie of the Year in the history of the Diamondbacks franchiserookie outfielder Corbin Carroll has already had a season to remember after leading the team to their first playoff appearance in six years and first World Series appearance in 22 years.
Carroll is up for the award with the Los Angeles Dodgers' James Outman and the New York Mets' Kodai Senga. The winner will be announced at 4 p.m. on November 13. Carroll would be the first D-back to win Rookie of the Year. The city of Phoenix is home to five major professional sports league teams; The NFL's Arizona Cardinals, NBA's Phoenix Suns, WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury, MLB's Arizona Diamondbacks and NHL's Arizona Coyotes.
