KUALA LUMPUR: Members of the public are advised not to attend the protest scheduled to take place in front of Sogo on Sunday evening (March 1).

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Fahmi Visuvanathan Abdullah said no notices had been submitted for the rally."If the rally goes on, it will cause distress to the people and disrupt public order," he said. When asked, ACP Mohd Fahmi also said there would not be roadblocks set up or roads closed around the area. The rally, dubbed"Kuasa kepada rakyat, Selamatkan Malaysia #tolakpengkhianat" , is expected to begin at 6pm.

It is believed the organisers will make several demands, including dissolving parliament to make way for fresh elections, continued prosecution of corrupt officials and the banning of party-hopping.
