Their goal was to develop an open floor plan concept that gives a feeling of “Zen-like comfort” and ease of gathering. “…We wanted a large space that was open and comfortable without adding a second floor to the home, so we decided to go back and under,” added the homeowners. The lower level was also entirely built out and remodeled, resulting in a home-within-a-home totaling 1,680-square-feet.
