The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is warning locals of a phone scam that is circulating through the area. Officials said they've been made aware of a phone scam where the caller is demanding that victims take a test for their concealed carry license over the phone, and then make a payment.
The sheriff's office said they would never ask for payments over the phone, and that there is no test required to apply for a concealed carry license.
