Complaints are expected to be filed this week against the suspects in the alleged hazing death of University of Cebu student Ronnel Baguio in December 2022, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. said Monday.
“Sa Cebu naman, although the case I think will be filed today or within the week, yung other suspects, perpetrators pinu-pursue pa rin ng ating mga investigators,” he said at a press briefing.
Based on his death certificate, he died from Severe Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome Secondary to Indirect Lung Injury, Acute Kidney Injury secondary to Rhabdmyolosis, and Acute Kidney Injury secondary to Rhabdomyolosis.The local police added that they found two witnesses in the course of their investigation, including the fraternity member who supposedly recruited Baguio.
