Two governors in Central Visayas condemned the killing of Negros Oriental Gov. Roel Degamo on Saturday morning, March 4.
CEBU CITY —
“I am shocked and deeply saddened by the brutal killing of Gov. Roel Degamo, a good friend, dedicated public servant and fellow governor,” said Garcia in a statement. “To the bereaved family of Gov Degamo, I offer my deepest condolences and prayers for his eternal repose. My condolences as well to the families of the governor’s security personnel who, sadly, were also victims of this horrendous act,” Garcia added.“We were with him in several activities, including in our recent Regional Development Council where he attended through teleconferencing,” said Aumentado, who is the chairman of the RDC-Central Visayas.
