What's been called a dangerous street on the east side is now back in the spotlight.Columbus City Council is expected to take a final vote on a new apartment co

Columbus City Council is expected to take a final vote on a new apartment complex going up on McNaughten Road. Neighbors there are worried about the traffic and potential safety issues this will cause in the future.

Dodson and his wife have lived off McNaughten Road for almost 10 years. He says ever since little Lizzie died, he's been pushing for safer streets. "Imagine you are in an emergency squad vehicle, and you have seconds depending on whether you live or die," Dodson said. "That squad vehicle is coming up McNaughten road and traffic is backed up and they can't get through. That 15 seconds is the difference between life and death."Dodson is concerned the area is going to get worse, now that developers are proposing building a 296 unit apartment complex on the same road.
