The Irving Marathon Running Series is a series of races held throughout the year in Las Colinas – Irving. This multi-event running series hosts races in February, March, May, October, November, and December. All races benefit the Irving Schools Foundation.Annual Irving Marathon Weekend on March 28-29. This two-day event begins and ends at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving with a scenic route through Las Colinas and along Lake Carolyn. An estimated 5,000-6,000 runners are expected to participate in the races. The event will have four distances: 5K and 10K on Saturday, March 28 and the Half Marathon and Marathon on Sunday, March 29. The Marathon course is USATF certified and a Boston Marathon qualifier.The Irving Marathon Running Series is more than just a race, it is an ever-growing movement with community engagement, a positive economic impact for the city of Irving, and a commitment to be healthy and fit. The event also provides scholarship opportunities for students, benefiting the Irving ISD Schools Foundation. The organization helps fund scholarships for students in the Irving ISD system who have volunteered at events during their time in high school. Race day perks include cash prizes, a performance event shirt, a custom bib w/ timing chip, age group awards, team challenge awards, convenient parking, and more. A post-race party will be held on The Plaza and includes free drinks, food, entertainment, and more.The next race in the Irving Marathon Running Series is the Fiesta de Mayo Half Marathon with 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon distances on Saturday, May 16 in Irving.
