Jack and Dave Lencioni announced in September they were selling the restaurant at 3325 Glenwood-Dyer Road to Terry Jarosky Sr. and Terry Jr. The Jarosky family owned Glenwood Oaks restaurant in Glenwood for 45 years before selling it in summer 2019. The store opened in 1995 and carries a number of popular brands including Ashley, Southern Motion, Liberty, Vaughn Basset and Coaster.Nicky V’s opens in Mount GreenwoodThey eventually renamed the business at 6200 W. 159th St as Nicky V’s Beef and Dogs and re-created some of the South Side favorites they grew up eating.

Earlier this month, they opened a second location at 111th Street and Pulaski Road in the Mount Greenwood neighborhood of Chicago.Hours for October will be 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday and closed on Sunday. Individuals, families and groups still have time to transform empty shoeboxes into fun gifts. The project partners with churches across the globe to deliver these tangible expressions of God’s love to children in need.

Beecher resident Justin Altenburg is one of the owners, and while none of them are Amish, they all share a love Amish food.
