Early rain moving out. Temps are plummeting. Winds stay brisk today and tonight. Flurries or light snow are possible from time to time the next few days. Warmer by later this week.TONIGHT: Cloudy, windy, flurries, cold, low 19.

Good Monday morning! A strong cold front is blasting across Ohio this morning. It brought a line of heavy rain and gusty winds during the pre-dawn hours, with temps in the mid-60s ahead of the rain. Temps will plummet behind the front. Wind chills will fall below freezing from mid-morning through the rest of the day as temps quickly drop into the 40s and 30s. Winds will be out of the southwest and west today at 15–25+ mph, with early gusts up to 45+ mph possible. That’s why we have a Wind Advisory for most of Ohio until later this morning. The rain will move out this morning, leaving cloudy skies through midday. Some light snow or flurries may develop by the afternoon and evening. Windy and cold tonight with flurries and a low around 19. Winds of 15–20 mph will make it feel like the single digits by early tomorrow. Mother Nature will be reminding us that we are still in winter the next couple of days. Tuesday will be the coldest day this week with single-digit wind chills in the morning, then mostly cloudy skies and a few flurries with a high around 29 by the afternoon. Wind chills will remain in the teens during the afternoon for St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow. A weak clipper may bring another round of light snow and flurries Wednesday afternoon. We warm to a high around 41, so if any snow falls it may melt and mix with rain.Warmer later this week as the Spring Equinox approaches. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a stray sprinkle or shower and a high around 57. The Spring Equinox is on Friday, and we will be partly to mostly cloudy with a high around 62. Saturday will be partly cloudy with a high around 64. A weaker cold front may arrive sometime next weekend or early next week. Timing varies between models, so for now we’ll go with a slim chance for rain Sunday and a high around 60 with a mix of sun and clouds. High temps may dip back toward 50 early next week behind that front. Have a good one!COLUMBUS, Ohio — The family of Captain Curtis J.
