Central Ohio will start feeling like spring, including spring showers on Friday and later Sunday.
THURSDAY NIGHT: mostly cloudy, milder, low 42.SUNDAY: partly cloudy becoming mostly cloudy, windy, warm, chance of showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, high 76.Central Ohio is enjoying a quiet, mostly sunny afternoon with temperatures climbing into the mid 50s at midday and continuing to warm from there.
Visible satellite shows partly cloudy skies in eastern Ohio but copious sunshine in western and southern Ohio. As a small trough drops through the region this afternoon, followed by a weak frontal boundary, clouds may thicken up and a passing sprinkle will be possible. Clouds thicken up on Friday has another low pressure center drops into the state. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms will be possible, especially during the afternoon and evening, tapering off overnight. Temperatures will be well above average for the first day of spring and mild again overnight. Saturday is the first full day of spring and will enjoy some sunshine as high-pressure builds into the Great Lakes, racing quickly to the east. Clouds will thicken up Saturday night as a new low pressure center barrels through our part of the country. Sunday temperatures will climb into the mid 70s with some gusty winds. Then, as the low moves through the state, showers and thunderstorms will be likely again. Temperatures will fall quickly behind the system and Monday morning will start in the 30s. High-pressure begins to build into the area on Monday. The gusty winds in the morning will quiet down in the afternoon. High temperatures will only get into the 40s as the cooler air mass settles into place. High pressure remains in control on Tuesday with plenty of sunshine and slightly warmer temperatures. As the high moves toward the East Coast on Wednesday, clouds will begin to move into the region. Most of the day, however, remains dry.A new storm system moves into the region on Thursday. The warm Front arrives in the morning, pushing our temperatures into the 70s with some gusty winds. Then the cold Front blasts through in the afternoon and evening with a chance for showers and thunderstorms.
