Scattered light rain today with chilly temps. Frost likely for the coming mornings.
Today’s weather is different than any other day on the 7-day forecast because we will have some scattered light rain showers. We are starting off with temps in the mid-40s and we will only warm to a high around 53 today with mainly overcast skies. We will have a brisk breeze out of the northwest today, 5-15 mph, to make it feel cooler.
This evening the clouds will start to break up, except for Northern/Eastern Ohio because the northwest winds will bring in some clouds off of Lake Erie. So that part of the state will still have some clouds and also slightly warmer temperatures because of the blanket clouds. For areas that stay clear, temps will dip into the mid and lower 30s.for most of Ohio, except Northern/Eastern Ohio, from 2 a.m. until 9 a.m. Wednesday. So, cover sensitive plants or bring them inside.
Clear skies for the end of the week for more frost likely for Thursday and Friday morning. No watches or advisories have been issued yet. We will start off in the 30s again, but warm to 61 on Thursday then 67 on Friday with sunshine each day. This weekend we will continue to slowly warm. Morning low temps around 40 then heating up to a high around 70 on Saturday then 72 on Sunday.
Monday next week we continue the slowly warming trend with highs approaching the mid-70s with more sun.
