The Columbus Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity awarded scholarships to public school students at the Kenneth L. Howard Endowed Scholarship Fund celebration and gala on Saturday. ABC 6 Assistant News Director Rodney Dunigan served as emcee for the event. Saturday.has held the fundraiser for more than 25 years. Since 1986, the local organization has awarded scholarships to 220 public school students totaling nearly $200,000 in scholarship dollars.
Since the group's inception as a small, community-oriented organization their efforts have supported students from across Central Ohio from a wide range of public, private, charter, church-affiliated, urban and suburban schools.A total of nine students received scholarships this year.Stay Connected
