On Tuesday night, Columbus City Schools ' Superintendent Task Force is set to present their initial findings to the Board of Education. Some parents are calling for the board to hold off on any decision-making because they feel like the work has been rushed. the task force is set to present their initial findings to the Board of Education
This is the third time a task force like this one has been formed in CCS, it's all to address dwindling enrollment and the empty buildings the district is holding. Izetta Thomas and Marielle Hemault with the Columbus Education Justice Coalition said they're urging the board to hold off on discussions immediately.
"We're going to stand up and make sure that the right decisions are being made in partnership with the community, as opposed to the district telling us what they are going to do to us," Hemault said.
