A quiet day with some sunshine was most welcome Thursday, especially in areas cleaning up after Wednesday's tornadoes and strong storms.
mostly cloudy in the morning becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon, high 60.Reports and surveys are still in progress, but it appears Ohio had at least five tornadoes Wednesday afternoon:EF1 near Windham in Portage CountyA cold front will push scattered showers and a few thunderstorms through Ohio late tonight and overnight. For Columbus, most of the rain finishes before the end of the morning commute. Eastern Ohio may have showers that linger through lunchtime.
The overnight storms should weaken as they move into the area, and our chance of severe storms is minimal. Hi Presz begins to move into the Midwest in the afternoon and evening, giving us some clearing late in the day and through the night. The weekend remains quiet and sunny as high-pressure moves through the Mississippi River Valley and into the Ohio River Valley. Temperatures will be cooler, but the sunshine will help make it feel pleasant.
Another low pressure center moves into the great lakes Tuesday with showers and thunderstorms spreading through most of the region. Gusty wins and downpours will be likely during the day the rain tapers off Tuesday night.Stay Connected
