Two years ago, Seattle Seahawks defensive back Coby Bryant forced a pivotal Kyler Murray fumble that helped Seattle get a valuable 19-9 win over the Arizona Cardinals . Fast forward to Week 12 of the 2024 season, and Bryant one-upped himself with a game-changing pick-six of Murray in Seattle’s 16-6 home win over Arizona. It was Bryant’s first NFL touchdown, a month removed from his first NFL interception against the Atlanta Falcons.
But this pick-six was not only valuable for the Seahawks and their pursuit of their first NFC West title since 2020, it was a special moment for Bryant. He revealed in the post-game press conference that today is his mom’s birthday. Guess what she’s getting for her birthday? The pick-6 ball. By the way, Bryant was not flagged for taunting on the Marshawn Lynch celebration tribute. That was actually cornerback Devon Witherspoon, who either did or said something that wasn’t caught by the FOX broadcast while they were showing the replay of the interception. While he wasn’t flagged on the field, Bryant may still get fined. Jameson Williams of the Detroit Lions was fined last week for the same celebration. Either way, happy birthday to Coby’s mom
