The first thing to notice about the CMF Pro Buds is their unusual packaging. Everything that Nothing does is exquisitely well thought out, including the presentation and packaging. Inside the Pro Buds point-of-sale packaging is a small and round charging case with the Pro Buds inside, plus a USB-C cable and silicone ear tips for getting the correct fit in the listener’s ears.
The CMF Buds Pro provide up to 45dB of ANC with an extensive frequency that goes up to 5000Hz. This wider frequency range enables the Pro Buds to eliminate a wide range of unwanted noises. This comes into its own when listening to music on a bus or in an office where unwanted sounds can also include higher frequency sounds like HVAC systems, idle chatter or photocopiers.
The Buds Pro also feature an intelligent bass enhancement algorithm that enhances the sound of the bass in real time. However, if bass is something you want less of, then the Nothing X app has a graphic equalizer built in for personalizing the bass and treble levels of the Pro Buds. Regarding Bluetooth audio codecs, the Pro Buds support the basic SBC and the higher quality AAC used by Apple in iOS and available with many Android phones.
