Republican presidential candidate Tim Scott has a new TV ad showing voters he “plans to protect life.”
The 30-second video titled “Extremist” will run on Newsmax nationwide starting Monday and is part of the South Carolina senator’s $8 million ad campaign launched last month.
He adds, “Yet these people say I’m the extremist. I’m Tim Scott, and I approve this message because some Republicans want to retreat on life. I know life is a gift from God, and this is a fight we must win.” Mr. Scott, along with former Vice President Mike Pence, said they support abortion bans after 15 weeks of pregnancy. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed a six-week abortion ban in his state, but didn’t explicitly say he would support a federal ban.
