GEORGE TOWN: The state government will fully abide by the 14-day Movement Control order, which takes effect nationwide on Wednesday (March 18).
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the state government was committed to strict monitoring of the situation to ensure the people’s health and safety.
"The state government will support the Movement Control order and the six points under the order to be enforced to contain the spread of Covid-19."The state government and all its state agencies will work together to make it a success with the aim of controlling the spread of Covid-19. "The most important thing right now is to do it right the first time. Otherwise, it will be difficult to carry out this order again," he said during a press conference held at his office in Komtar on Tuesday after chairing a special exco meeting to discuss the order."This is my message to Penangites and our people," he said.
