Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Brooklyn Nets, April 8, 2022BROOKLYN -- During Wednesday night’s team dinner inside their swanky Orlando hotel, Cleveland Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff didn’t deliver a rah-rah speech. He didn’t even reflect on the season.
For the Cavs, it’s clear: Beat Milwaukee. That’s the outcome, still in their control, which would keep them in the 7-8 game -- with two cracks at winning a play-in game and getting into the playoffs. “That’s a good team over there. We’re a really good team. So, if we match up it will be another good one,” Garland said.Charlotte, winners of two straight, is taking on the Washington Wizards, who have shut down Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope for the remainder of the season.
“Not at all,” he said. “The perception or reality of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and the pieces around this team and the way they are coached, you can understand why people would want to do that. But I will tell you this: If we’re healthy, we’re not a team people want to face either.”The injuries started early in the season and never relented.
