ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A mistake in ballot printing led to some voters receiving two ballots for the Juneau Municipal Election, city officials said Wednesday, adding that they aren’t worried about potential voting fraud.notified residents of the possibility they could be impacted by what the City and Borough of Juneau is referring to as a “technical glitch” that it said impacts about 1% of voters in the state’s capital city.
According to Hirsh, a first round of ballots is printed for registered voters after the deadline to update voter addresses on Sept. 1. “We say , pull the first one that you printed for them, and print a new one for them instead, based on this new information,” Hirsh explained. “What happened this year is, none of the ones that should have been pulled got pulled.”
