Cirque du Soleil will set up its big top in the Big Apple for the first time in nearly a decade as the popular troupe continues its high-wire act to expand the brand after going belly-up during the pandemic, The Post has learned.
“We haven’t been in New York since, I believe, 2016,” Lefebvre told The Post. “So it’s been a long time. It’s such an important market.”Lefebvre helped revive Cirque after it went dark in 2020 – when it laid off all its acrobats, strongmen and trapeze artists at stages from Las Vegas to Lyon, France.
