CarePoint Health Systems CEO Dr. Achintya Moulick was told by the board that the hospital has 10 days to submit a fair market analysis of the new lease the nonprofit agreed to in December.

Ron Zeitlinger | The Jersey Journal

A spokesman for CarePoint Health Systems said Christ Hospital had no involvement in any recent real estate transactions involving the site and “the hospital remains a tenant and the change in ownership has no impact on Christ Hospital’s operations.” The State Health Planning Board was not made aware of the new lease deal until after it recommended in February that Christ Hospital be approved, forcing the board to reconsider the application Thursday. The board noted the hospital’s omission in its most recent analysis and said further action may be taken against the nonprofit.

The CEO was reminded that it was the hospital chain’s responsibility to provide the documentation and that board was merely performing its due diligence.
