A 55-year-old content creator in China died Saturday after his single-seat aircraft crashed during a live stream. The creator, who had a large following on Douyin, was not wearing a helmet or parachute. The aircraft was reportedly capable of reaching 60 MPH and 2,000 feet in altitude.
Tang Feiji, a 55-year-old content creator , died Saturday when he lost control of his single-seat aircraft before it plummeted to the ground and burst into flames in Jiange County, central China , according to Feiji, who was not wearing a helmet or a parachute at the time, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CNS.
The livestream was being viewed by hundreds of people as Feiji had a following of over 100,000 on Chinese short-form video platform Douyin. CNS reported that Feiji said the aircraft weighed just over 250 pounds, and could reach speeds of 60 MPH and nearly 2,000 feet in altitude.
