Chinese home appliance maker Midea Group launched a $3.46 billion share offering in Hong Kong Monday, marking the city's largest listing in over three years.

The listing, which Reuters reported last week, would be the biggest in Hong Kong since JD Logistics raised $3.16 billion in May 2021. The deal eclipses Hong Kong's most recent biggest deal, Chinese lithium battery maker CALB, which raised $1.3 billion in October 2022.Midea's Shenzhen-listed shares closed on Friday at 63.02 yuan each, which means the Hong Kong shares are being sold at a discount of up to 25%.
Midea's shares would trade under the stock code 0300 on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Trading is expected to begin on Sept. 17, the filing said.
