Chinese EV maker Chery has opened pre-sales for its Fulwin T9L hybrid SUV, offering four trims and a claimed combined range of up to 1,240 miles.
During its pre-sale phase, the Chery Fulwin T9L hybrid SUV is being introduced with a four-tier trim lineup, giving buyers a range of options to choose from. The available variants include the 135 Air, 135 Pro, 230 Pro, and the range-topping 230 Max, each expected to cater to different performance and feature preferences within the segment.
At the same time, Chery Fulwin is taking a more experimental approach with its all-wheel-drive version. Rather than locking in a fixed production plan, the company says it will shape the final strategy through a 20-day co-creation initiative, actively involving prospective customers and automotive enthusiasts in the decision-making process.Fulwin T9L reaches 375 kW in top configurationPowering the Fulwin T9L is Chery’s Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM6.0 system, offered in two configurations depending on the trim level. The entry variant combines a 1.5-liter engine producing 82 kW with a 160 kW electric motor and a DHT160 transmission, delivering a total system output of 242 kW. Higher-spec versions upgrade to a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine rated at 115 kW, paired with a more powerful 260 kW electric motor and a DHT260 transmission. In this setup, combined output rises to 375 kW, placing the T9L among the more powerful hybrid SUVs in its class, CarNewsChina reported.Built around efficiency and long-distance capability, the SUV uses a Rhino H hybrid battery with a capacity of 32.7 kWh. This enables an estimated all-electric driving range of about 84 miles or 143 miles, depending on the variant , while total combined range is rated at up to 1,240 miles.Underneath, the vehicle rides on a chassis designed to balance comfort and control. It features a MacPherson independent front suspension and an all-aluminum H-arm multi-link independent rear setup, complemented by CDC electromagnetic shock absorbers that continuously adjust damping for improved ride quality and stability.Basic to lidar-assisted driving tech across trimsDriver assistance technology on the Fulwin T9L is structured in tiers, depending on the selected trim. Entry-level versions come equipped with Chery’s Falcon 200 intelligent driving assistance system, while mid-range variants move up to the more capable Falcon 500 setup. At the top end, buyers can opt for the Falcon 700 system, which adds more advanced features, including a roof-mounted lidar sensor, a Horizon Journey 6P driver assistance chip, and distinctive “smart driving blue light” indicators designed to signal when assisted driving functions are active.At the top of the range, the system relies on a comprehensive suite of 27 sensors and delivers up to 560 TOPS of computing power, giving it the capacity to process large volumes of real-time data from its surroundings. This hardware backbone enables a more advanced level of assisted driving, including City NOA for urban environments, Highway NOA for long-distance cruising, and fully automated parking across a wide variety of scenarios. Together, these features are designed to reduce driver workload while improving situational awareness and overall convenience behind the wheel.
