Missing the big Cruel World festival in SoCal this month? Well, never fear because many of those same ’80s music acts are playing the Bay Area as well. Here’s a look at some of the offerings:Vocalist Ian McCulloch and guitarist Will Sergeant lead the Liverpool modern-rock outfit, known for such acclaimed albums as “Crocodiles,” “Heaven Up Here,” “Porcupine” and “Ocean Rain,” into the Mountain Winery in Saratoga on May 19. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.

and tickets are $49-$250,The English post-punk trio — consisting of Daniel Ash, David J and Kevin Haskins, three musicians also known for their work in the iconic goth-rock outfit Bauhaus — have embarked on its first concert tour in more than a decade. The trek includes a May 21 date at the Fox Theater in Oakland. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $59.50-$79.
