Services are partially back in operation at CentroMed after a Cyberattack left the healthcare agency unable to operate. CentroMed announced on Monday that basic services had been restored after a cyberattack on May 1st rendered their electronic systems unusable.Engineers are working with CentroMed to establish full operations again, but the agency said in a press release that the effort has proven to be enormous and highly technical.
Clinicians can now access medical records and can send prescriptions to pharmacies electronically, including CentroMed pharmacies. Patients are also now able to request their medical records, as well as access their Patient Portal. Patients can now schedule appointments via phone at 210-922-7000. The organization is still working with investigators to determine what data was accessed and used by the hackers, as well as which people may have been affected. People with any questions can call 1-888-990-8424 to inquire about the data breach, and learn how they can protect tier information.
