Central Pa. winery fills weekend schedule as it celebrates 20th anniversary

Setter Ridge Vineyards in Berks County is offering a variety of free giveaways, music, drink specials, local food purveyors and a grazing dinner, among other things, to mark the occasion.

Start Sunday morning off with a complimentary Pound Class led by Sue Phillips at 10 a.m. . In addition, a complimentary 20th anniversary wine glass will be available for the first 20 mimosa purchases. The winery will have a traditional orange juice mimosa available or and also its mimosa of the month: Peach Melba.

There is plenty of room to relax under the covered pavilion at Setter Ridge Vineyards. The winery will be open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday/will be onsite. Based out of Fleetwood, Schaeffer Catering, LLC has been offering variety of grilled cheese sandwiches along with their fresh cut fries, but also have offered other options for almost five years to the Berks County community.

In addition to wine by the glass or bottle, various wine slushies will be available for purchase, as well as beer from local breweryFinally, music is planned throughout the weekend, beginning with the Hannah Violet Trio on Saturday. The trio consists of Hannah Violet on lead vocals, guitar & fiddle, Phil Pilorz, lead guitarist on vocals and Dave Miller on mandolin, fiddle, vocals & rhythm.

Sunday will feature Rob Basselgia, country singer/songwriter from Lancaster. A self-taught musician, Rob has been playing guitar since he was 14, and performing in venues since he was 21. He has opened for musicians including The Marshall Tucker Band, Montgomery Gentry, Trace Adkins and more.
