"Born from the sea, a hero will rise, with whiskers and fur, and revenge in their eyes." Yes, one of the most meow-tastic RPG experiences, Cat Quest 3, is currently available for free if you have PlayStation Plus Extra.
Pirates of the Purribean, as it was originally going to be titled, takes players on an epic adventure across exotic islands to defeat the notorious Pi-rats and search for the legendary treasure, the North Star. In my review of Cat Quest 3 for ScreenRant, I gave the game 9/10 stars, and I stand by that score. This series is one that has stayed with me, both for its humor and its creative narratives. While it may not be a hardcore RPG experience that can rival the likes of Final Fantasy or Dragon Age, the Cat Quest trilogy is a fun and relatively short adventure that is likely to have you smiling the whole time. Cat Quest 3 Is A PlayStation Plus Hidden Gem Purrfectly Punny Humor, Quirky Characters, And A Delightful Story Cat Quest 3 continues the comedic adventures in the land of cats, dogs, and rats. Playing as the Cat Hero, who is destined for greatness, we are joined by Captain Cappey who serves as our guide, best friend, and parental figure. Our goal is simply to find the coveted treasure known as the North Star, but we aren't the only ones after it. Meowtallika and the Pi-Rat King are also on the hunt, making our quest all the more challenging. Local co-op modes are available for both Cat Quest 3 and Cat Quest 2, making the experiences great to share with a friend. Along the way, you get to find and upgrade spells, armor, and weapons to tweak your Cat into whatever type of class you would like and become even more powerful. Whether navigating the seas, exploring the overworld, or fighting in the dungeons, there is no lack of things to do. Although the open-world does leave the threat of running into a level 60 enemy when you are level 5. You Won't Want To Sleep On This One The Entire Series Is Currently Available On PS Plus Extra Reddit user, amralaaali, shares my love of the game, recommending that players"don't sleep on this one." Although they are specifically speaking about Cat Quest 3, the entire trilogy is available on PlayStation Plus Extra right now by signing into the PlayStation Store. You don't have to have played the first two games in order to enjoy the third, although there is a bit of continuation of an overarching storyline in the trilogy. The sad thing about PlayStation Plus offerings is that you never know when something will no longer be available on the service. Downloading Cat Quest 3, and purr-haps the first two games as well, will give you the opportunity to experience this delightful series whenever you want.
