Crews were called Thursday morning to a Newberry Township house fire, dispatch confirmed.According to Newberry Township Fire Department, the way the home was built caused difficulties for crews on scene.
The layout and concealed spaces within the structure made access more difficult and allowed fire to extend into areas that were not immediately visible. Due to this, officials said firefighters worked diligently to find "hidden fires" and bring the blaze under control quickly. While the fire department thanked those who helped put out the flames, it also took a moment to call on the community to help uplift the family impacted.
