The 14-year-old was among three Carrollton-Farmers Branch teens to die from suspected fentanyl overdoses, his family said.
The Texas middle schooler loved sports, cooking and caring for his family before he started misbehaving, his mother said.
“He planned on helping me support his younger siblings when he grew up,” Astudillo, 39, said in Spanish. “He wanted me to spend more time with them.”
