Two Carlisle High School students went to the Carlisle Area School District's board meeting last week, discussing the school's handling of their club. The students are trying to create a chapter of "Club America is a student-leading initiative that serves to empower patriotic leaders of the future," student Sophia Shay said.

The students say the school has not done enough to help them get their club started and has restricted the club's ability to advertise itself. They say all this came after the school refused to help them find an adviser for the club. "We were told if we wanted to put any sort of poster up, we had to go through our adviser and then Dr. Buffington," said Shay. "Without being able to meet during school hours, we weren't able to go to our adviser during my block period eight to do this." CBS 21 asked the school about the situation in hopes of finding out why things have been delayed. Superintendent Dr. Colleen Friend responded, saying: "Although they may have found an advisor, that teacher is currently committed to another club at the same time." "We cannot close one club to open another, as it wouldn’t be fair to the students the advisor currently serves," Friend said. "However, this same teacher was willing to accommodate the club before or after school, but the students were not interested in that option."Dr. Friend also said there is a meeting scheduled with the students for mid-April to further discuss the timeline of the club.A restaurant tied to a sexual assault investigation has removed a social media post addressing what it claims are "false rumors."One person was reportedly "heavily" entrapped following a multi-car crash Friday morning near Specktown Road in Williamstown, according to dispatch.Pennsylvania State Police confirmed the public is urged to avoid the 300 block of Gap Road in Strasburg Township.Several fire crews were called to the scene of a fire that broke out early Friday at Mountain Ridge Metals, according to dispatch.3
