The Syracuse Fire Department said a body was found at the Syracuse Academy of Science Charter School on Tuesday morning.
The Syracuse Fire Department said a dead body and high levels of carbon monoxide were found inside of Syracuse Academy Charter School on Jan. 7, 2025.
The department said the high levels of carbon monoxide were found inside the charter school's cafeteria. Lowers levels were found in the rest of the school. The department said no children were exposed to the high levels of carbon monoxide. The Syracuse Academy of Science Charter School identified the deceased as a night cleaner employed by the school. Students and staff were dismissed from school early.
