Elected officials, the high school marching band, clubs, fraternal organizations, scouts and fire trucks take part in a small town America Memorial Day Parade in Camp Hill, Pa., May 29, 2023.
The Marshal’s Division included Parade Marshal Col. Karl F. Frantz, US Army Ret., Legion Post #998, Lawnton, VFW Post #7415, New Cumberland and American Legion Post #984, West Fairview.
There were also fraternal, youth and motor divisions in the parade that followed west on Market St., north on N. 24th St. and east on Walnut St. to the Borough offices, fire station and city cemetery. The annual Memorial Service in the Camp Hill Cemetery by Camp Hill American Legion Post #43 followed the parade and included featured speakers Camp Hill High School senior Nicholas Crosby and Retired US Army Col. Karl F. Frantz. Presiding over the service was Col. H. Ward Adams, US Army, Ret.
American flags were placed on the graves of veterans in Camp Hill Cemetery which includes veterans from the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War, American Indian Wars, Spanish American War, the Great War and World War II.
