When he takes the field for his first snap, Heyward will have played his 202nd game in a Steleers uniform, the most for a defensive player in team history.
Heyward will move into fourth place all-time in franchise history for most games played with the Steelers, surpassing safety Donnie Shell. Wide receiver Hines Ward, center Mike Webster, and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger have played the most games in franchise history. Roethlisberger holds the record with 249 games played.If Heyward plays through all the regular season games he could have through the rest of his contract, he will have played 246 career games.
